What did we miss? Elise and James are back in the house!!! For our last blog, we are bringing back all of our bloggers and when we say all, we mean all. So let's just get into our blog.
On outside day, Tucker (Ms. Bierbower’s dog) and Ms. Bierbower's dad came. We did math outside. We did a math game, wrote in the chalk, and did a math packet. Then, we went back inside. Anyways, we will now hand the baton to Ian and Rodrigo! Pictures here --> Outside Day Hello there (Obi Wan voice) culture day was fun, we shared and told things about our cultures (Rodrigo: sadly I forgot to dress up for it). On Arts & Crafts day we made food trucks and really anything else on paper (Ian: I made a food truck). On field day we had 15 minutes stations like ,volleyball,Potato sacs, and many more. Now it is the most recent bloggers turn…Arthur and Claire. Entertainment Day: we watched a movie (bolt) We shared our animal research flap books with the first graders. THREE DAY WEEKEND YUUUUUUSSS🫠
We had our MAP Math test if that counts. We finished Double Identity and we started Future Hero (Race to Fire Mountain) We have been doing our outlines and essays for our research projects. In Art, we did contour lines and in Science, we studied Betsy beetles and in Music, we learned a new dance and in Spanish, we finished our posters and last.. in Drama, we did. More rehearsing. Have a great weekend!! Not Much……………JK SOOOOOOOOO MUCH but I don’t know what😒
In math we’ve been learning about angles and lines. We read double identity and the research project for science. In Spanish we the usual in Music we did the sweets of May dance in science, we got more bugs and slugs from outside in art we did the usual and in drama, we did the last part of our play sorta thing Also not much/not much/ ……………JK SOOOOOOOOO MUCH……………………………but I don’t know what😒 💥 Very rushed (As it says in the title.)

In MATH we are practicing partial quotients and we are reviewing area models. In reading we started a new book called double identity. And finished are poetry books. We finished an essay about a book called fox (very straightforward). In Art we were working on stop motion movies, in Drama we were working on our first scene on a treasure hunt play (kind of), in Spanish we were getting ready for a test, in Music we were working on a dance, and in Science we were working on animal life. We are working and practicing on our math project presentation. We are still reading “Restart”. We are also doing poetry. We are writing an essay about a person, place, or thing that we love most. Music we are doing Ubuntu, in science we are doing sound, in Spanish we are doing hair and eye color, for Art we are doing stop motion, in Drama we are doing Drama. We are doing still doing the math project During reading aloud we are still reading Restart. We are also working on making poems. We are making essays of something we like but it must be a good essay. Music we are practicing😁 reading notes and Ubuntu(I am welcoming because you are welcoming) , science we are doing stuff with sound and tuning forks, Spanish, drama. In math, we are still doing that redesign of the lunchroom still. We just started reading the book “RESTART” by Gordon Korman.” we also started a book club. We have books like Amina’s voice,book uncle and me and last but not least life as an ice cream sandwich. We are writing an essay about someone/something or place we like. In math some of us made a poll for the 4th graders, the 3rd graders, and the 1st graders on what we like about the gym/cafeteria and what we don’t like about the gym/cafeteria. We just finished reading (as a class) “Running Out Time”!😊 We just finished up writing our Holiday Essays! In specials we are doing the usual. It is still Black History Month, so we are learning about the importance of knowing this history and many people that helped make changes. We are learning standard measurement and the metric system Recently Dr.Osborn has asked the 4th grade to think of new designs for the gym/cafeteria/after care & before care but the measurements have to be precise so the fourth grade teachers are turning it into a mega math unit because there is a lot of measuring. Also there is a certain budget. We are on chapter 19 out of 25 five for Running Out Of Time. We are also trying to find themes in short passages. We are writing an essay about our favorite holiday. In science we are studying energy. In Spanish we are doing Spanish. In music we are just doing the usual in drama we are doing the story of Señor coyote in art we have been using a app called sketches school This Month's events: Fun fair, Black History Month, Valentine's Day, Bus Driver Appreciation Day, President's Day, the Super Bowl. Well have a nice weekend also it’s Ian’s birthday on SuperBowl Bowl Sunday. Also on the 15th it’s mrs.Buttemoore’s B-Day! |
