And we will be telling you about our amazing week! This week in writing we have been writing essays with partners comparing and contrasting Louis Braille and Emmaunuel Yeboah. Today in the morning we did the math facts test and we also switched classes and next Wednesday we will stop switching . This week in reading we started a new read aloud to the book Chester and gus. In music we danced and sang a song. In art we are finishing our stain glass in science we builded with dominos . in drama we acted out a story . This week we started to do something called the action project. The class will all have jobs for a food drive and to raise money for an organization called Humanity Relief.

Hi this is your bloggers Emily and Victoria, in this blog we will be telling you about this great week in school!
This week in writing we have been paired up with partners to write and type an essay about our opinion if we think students should wear uniforms or not. In reading we finished at the front desk and started a new book. In the rotations we did the normal things, meet with the teacher,r ead to self , at your seat , yeah all that stuff ! this week in math we have been learning a lot about fractions and ways to find equivalent fractions to them. we have been using a new app to learn about all the equivalent fractions. On Tuesday, we had music and Spanish. In Spanish we've been learning about animals and what sounds they make in spanish. In music we are learning music note and we played a small game on wednesday we did art in art we were make plastic stain glass we would cut out a frame and draw a sketch of what we want to make and then we would take these plastic thin clear colored sheet and glue it on the clear sheet u can cut shape it how ever u want ! on thursday we went to science and made marble tracks out of tiny boxes and rules. This week in writing we got to write and plan our own essays about the reasons we think kids should have homework or shouldn't have it. After that we had our classmates grade and check our essays then we would check theirs with a writing checklist. In art this week we are continuing our Frank Lloyd Wright inspired stained glass projects. In drama we are practicing our new african american culture. in spanish we are practicing saying animals and the sounds they make. In science we are learning about power and electricity. This week in math we had 2 math tests,we had our math M.A.P test and a regular math test checkpoint. With Ms Bierbower we have been learning a lot about division strategies and division story problems. In reading we are learning about primary and secondary sources for biographies and autobiography. Also we did two reading tests. |
