The Weekly Blog!!

Hello everyone! This week's blog is written and published by your new bloggers Vika and Emily. In this blog we will be telling you about all the awesome things we did this week in school.  

This week in Reading we started reading lots of NonFiction genre books about wildlife animals. Also during the week we have been learning a lot about text features  and how to spot them in big paragraphs of text while reading a NonFiction book. We learned about the different types of text features too. Also we have been doing a read aloud of the book Front Desk.

In math we've been learning multiplication story problems and soon we are going to start division.We sometimes do rotations in the rotations we do at your seat which is usually a math sheet. With the teacher you usually do math  problems .Or you are on ixl which is a program that teaches math to you. Or  you do hands on games which are right now flash cards you can choose a partner to work with .

 This week we started learning how to write essays about a person, place or thing that really matters to you. Today after the whole week everyone is almost done with their body paragraphs for the essays but there are some kids that didn't finish! Next week or maybe in two we are going to write a new essay if you are done you can free right !

This week as one of our class specials we had art class. In art we have been making realistic looking stained glass pictures inspired by Frank Lyoid Wright's art pieces. Then this week in science class we learned about all the new animals that have been brought to the science lab. Also in Spanish class we have been studying Spanish emotions and took a quiz about them on monday.
