Next week is December and December means winter break is coming up!!!!!!!! :] In reading we got new vocabulary sort and we read some more of chester and Gus. We also practiced finding main ideas and details. In math we are learning about remainders.We are also learning about partial products for multiplication. In writing we are writing Essays. We are also working on our goals in essay writing. I hope we complete our goals. In science we are trying to figure out electricity puzzles to light the lights up. We were using a colored light to light up. Our class is having a read-A-Thon today! Look below for a picture!

Happy early Thanksgiving! We are so excited for thanksgiving. But why do we celebrate thanksgiving? The reason is the first harvest when the Native Americans and pilgrims had a big feast to be thankful for the harvest.
On veterans day we made cards for the veterans and a boy named Caleb had his dad came because he served in the air force and showed us some of the awesome planes. In math we started doing array models and ratio tables. We are learning a new math game called moolah on my mind. In science we are learning about how to make a motor work. We are reading informational texts and then we have to give details about the story. In the latest school assembly all of the color crews rehearsed there chants. Mrs. Hutchison picked the golden anchor one of the winning classes was mrs. Krupskys class. Woo hoo! No school for next week! WOO HOO! Next week is thanksgiving break and I hope you have a great Thanksgiving. Today is November 9, 2018. It is the first day it started snowing in 10 or 11 months! Let’s make this a good first day of “winter”.
In reading we finished Mr. Lemoncello’s library. Now we started reading Chester and Gus. We finished our photo album book reports too for our historical fiction books. In writing we are starting essay writing. We had to think of a thesis before we could begin though. In science we are learning about how to light up, light bulbs. Here are some names for electrical circuits. There is a open circuit, a closed circuit, a series circuit and a parallel circuit. In math We learned a new math game called division capture. We are learning about array models for multiplication. In specials for tech we are finishing are digital story books. On Friday it is the intercultural dinner and talent show we are so excited! It’s November! In math we started a new number corner for November, it was time and elapsed time. We also made a Great Wall of Base 10 with a mat-mat which is 10,000 units, a stip-mat which is 1,000 units, a mat that is 100 units, a strip that is 10 units, and 1 unit. Today we learned a new game called What's Missing? Bingo. In reading we still have not finished Mr.Lemoncello’s Library. But we are on chapter 48. We finished our historical fiction stories and are working on a photo album book report. In science we are still working on electricity. In writing we are doing the unit Essay writing, we wrote entries and did free write about our topic, to jog ides. On Wednesday It was Halloween! We had a halloween party. I hope you all went trick-or-treating. In color crew, our previous meeting we shared things we are thankful for like family and friends. This was a great week for the school!
